MISE EN SCENE AND LIGHTING

Mise en scene

Location: Where the trailer is set. This is essential for portraying the genre.
Costumes: The actors/actress you used but my dressed appropriately for their role. For example, if you are filming during the day, they cant be wearing pyjamas.

Colour: The use of colours to portray moods. For example, red and black represent death and blood so they would be ideal for my trailer. However yellow represents sunshine and happiness and wouldn't fit well within my scenes.

Lighting

Natural light: Natural light from the sun to empathise realism. Coming through windows to create shadows or to highlight a characters face.

Artificial light: This is light from studio lights, lamps or torches. This will be used a lot throughout my trailer to highlight objects in the dark and to create shadows in certain places. 

Three point lighting: This is used to create depth on an object. Three different lights are used, a back light, a fill light and a key light as shown below.
